We stayed here in November 2007 as part of our trip around Australia. Having spent a few nights previously in Cairns, we travelled north to Cape Tribulation and the rainforest for a few days, then returned for one night here before travelling on.

We found this place to be absolutely wonderful! Part of the reason for this was probably that we had come from a small, solar powered cabin in the damp and muggy rainforest, and this was just the welcome change that we needed.

It was our honeymoon, and so we were upgraded to an apartment which was larger than our flat at home. It had two bedrooms, a large living area, separate dining area, kitchen and bathroom, as well as television channels which allowed my husband to watch football from the UK. It also had a washing machine, dryer and complimentary washing powder which came in very useful. There was a large sun terrace with sun loungers and lovely views over the resort. As a nice bonus we were also presented with a bottle of champagne and some chocolate dipped strawberries!

We didn't have chance to use all the facilities, but we had a walk around the beautiful swimming pools and spa. I think that the cost of the pools was included, but the spa would have been extra.

It is located a little way out of the centre, although this wasn't a problem for us as we had a car. As a plus, this meant that it was just a very short drive to the airport the next day.

All in all, it was a shame that we hadn't booked to stay here longer! Would certainly recommend.
