A lovely classy hotel with great friendly people

We stayed at the Landmark last summer as part of our honeymoon, and I must say this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! The place is luxurious and the service is impeccable, with all staff very friendly and courteous at all times...

Our room was lovely and comfortable, with an excellent power shower, comfortable bed and amenities... the toiletries are not branded, but being Landmark, they only have good quality stuff. My only very minor gripe was no DVD player in the room but there are plenty of activities to do otherwise...

Breakfast was really excellent with fresh juice made on request (you can choose from a variety of fruits), and an enormous array of food on offer including pastries, cakes, fruit, English breakfast, fresh made to order waffles, crepes, omelettes, and lovely extras like luxurious chocolate milkshake. The best breakfasts ever!

Downstairs at the hotel is The Huntsman pub, which we visited twice during our stay. It was a nice chilled out place to go on an evening to enjoy a drink and some food, with a live band performing every night at 9pm. They played popular songs both new and old and were very talented and sang in English very well... The food on offer in the pub was pretty good, not outstanding, but not bad...

There is also a swimming pool which seemed decent (we could see it from our window) although we didn't actually visit it...

There is a small travel bureau in the building which offers tours, but we chose to go out on our own as it was a little expensive to do a tour. Although in some ways it might be safer to go on a tour as in Bangkok, you get a lot of scam artists telling you attractions are closed - they will take you somewhere else to get commission from you shopping! Luckily we were prepared but sadly many people must fall for it...

The hotel is very close to a train station (Nana), and not too far from the main shopping area, you can walk it though much easier to hop on the train. It is a bit of a distance to the main temples and the Grand Palace, but we got a taxi there which wasn't too expensive, we asked the hotel to call us a taxi which is more safer and reasonable in price than going out to find one ourselves.

We got a complimentary bottle of bubbly and lovely honeymoon cake from them, which was of very good quality, and my husband also got another cake on his birthday with a small bunch of flowers. We hadn't even told them it was his birthday, so this was a very nice personal touch from them.

If I returned to Bangkok, the Landmark would be my first choice again, as I though the service and facilities were excellent and we will always remember that as an amazing hotel....

I have a similar review posted on tripadvisor.

Highly recommended hotel especially on Club Floors

I have twice stayed at the Landmark Hotel in Bangkok and would recommend it to all.

The hotel is situated on Sukhumvit close to the Nana Skytrain station. Due to the heat in Bangkok even walking 5 minutes can be tiring and having the air conditioned Skytrain nearby is an enormous boon.

I stayed on the Club floors and these are highly recommended. Included in the price of your stay you get breakfast plus cocktails and canapes for 2 hours in the early evening.

The staff are fantastic, particularly the hostesses on the Club floors who are polite, friendly and beautifully presented.

On my first stay I had a room which was spacious and gave a good view over urban Bangkok. My second stay was even better and I would recommend a suite on a club floor if you can get one - the suite was spacious, comfortable and provided everything you would need for your stay.

The suite comprised of a large bedroom with huge super kingsize bed. Off that there was a huge bathroom which had an incredible shower and a large bath.

The second room in the suite had a sofa with a coffee table and also a desk and chair. There was internet access available.

Both rooms in the suite had a TV and several English language channels were available.

The hotel has a good swimming pool too which once again I would recommend, although despite the incredible heat in Bangkok, the water can be cold! Towels are available from staff at the pool for your use.

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Bangkok.
