Advantages: Great facilities, helpful staff

Disadvantages: The food wasn't amazing, had to pay extra for branded drinks.

A lovely hotel. I visited this hotel several years ago. It was quiet when we went in September but the staff were no less friendly and helpful than if the hotel was packed.

The pool in the hotel is enormous, apparently the largest in the Middle East. It has a swim up bar and no end of free sun loungers around the pool. the site also has its own private beach where you can ride camels and snorkel.

Inside, the hotel has an enormous and opulent entrance hall off of which the rooms come. The room was cleaned and tidied every day and was a great size.

The food was good, we stayed in and ate every night. I preferred the restaurants outside of the hotel but the food was nice.

The hotel organised some great trips for us to Cairo and to Luxor, and a air-conditioned coach was there to pick us up and provided us with a free lunch.

Overall, Le Meridien was a wonderful hotel, with great facilities and great staff.
