Advantages: The beaches are even whiter than those of Mauritius, Crisp fresh air

Disadvantages: The short sea trip towards the islet was quite rough

I am sure you must be tired of reading my reviews about Mauritius, but my long vacation on this island was so magical that I have so much to talk about! After my Catamaran Cruises, I went upon another wonderful boat trip which took us to Ile aux Cerfs, a teeny tiny island of the East Coast of Mauritius, whose beauty is rival to the mainland. If Mauritius is beautiful, Ile aux Cerfs is even more gorgeous and stunning. It may sound silly but the sand at Ile aux Cerfs is really whiter and more sparkling!

This island holds on main building- Le Touresrock Hotel. I in fact heard of this islet and the hotel even before I ever set foot on Mauritius. It is supposed to be a highly acclaimed five star hotel where you literally get to relax in the lap of luxury. My trip to Ile aux Cerfs actually started at eight in the morning. We had to travel to Trou D'Eau Douce where we boarded a small, very ancient looking boat which actually creaked when people got in! And for once, the trip out in the sea was far from being pleasant. The sea was quite rough and very dark looking at some places. One of my friends even got sea sick! But when we reached the lagoon of Ile aux Cerfs, it was completely worth it!

The first sight which greets you is the various blends of turquoise which gradually gives way to the pure white sand. The air was surprisingly different from the air of the mainland- or from every other place in fact. I guess it is because of lack of air pollution on Ile aux Cerfs. It was crisp, warm and sweet-scented (because of the various plants on such a small piece of land). We found a nice place under palm trees and settled for a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we started to explore the island and we were pleasantly surprised to see that there was quite am array of activities that was offered by Le Tousserock Hotel. Some of these activities include snorkeling and water-cycling. In addition, other activities are offered by various other companies, excluding Le Tousserock. These companies have set up quaint little kiosks on the coastline in order to provide their services.

Small golf courses, along with eating facilities are also available on this tiny speck of haven. I would really advice any person who is holidaying in Mauritius to spend at day at Ile aux Cerfs. Some people I talked to told me that the sea trip to reach there is usually not that rough, and that it was quite easy in fact. Seriously, spend one day on this island and you'll never want to come back!

Thanks for reading!

Summary: It was yet another perfect day
