Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: Not very comfortable...now!

Whilst pretty well run, this was one of those 60's hotels built from a kit of bland parts that struggled to be anything more than run of the mill. It struggles no more as it has been demolished to make way for the huge Liverpool One development by Grosvenor. Look out for the big opening sometime late 2007 on. Meanwhile, there are plenty of established and new hotels with a bucketful of apppeal compared to the old Moat House, with the Hope Street Hotel top of the list at the moment. See it and it's fabulous London Carriage Works restaurant at www.hopestreethotel.co.uk

Summary: You need to look for a new place to lay your head.

OK. So I have removed my tongue from my cheek. I found reference to this hotel on Dooyoo and felt it deserved a little bit of recognition before it completely disappeared from the collective memory. I'm sorry some of you seem to have been offended by a less than serious review - I'll try harder next time I review a non-existent hotel!

But...but...but...if it isn't there, what does it matter if it was bad? :S
