The Luxor Hotel and Casino is probably the one that everybody has noticed on TV or in films as a Vegas place to go to. This is because of its Egyptian pyramid appearance and it looks spectacular which is why I think it is used everywhere. We were in Vegas and taking looks around all of the places and the Luxor was one we wanted to go to. We ... Read the complete review

Having seen various pictures on the internet of the hotel, I knew straight away that I was going to be blown away by the sheer stature of the hotel, however seeing it for the first time at night is a truely amazing experience. There are lights flickering up and down the side of the pyramid and a beam of light from the top - which can be seen 10 ... Read the complete review

This next review is about my experience at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas Nevada. I went to Las Vegas once before, which I think most people would no if they had read some of my previous reviews, however the excitement and thrill of Vegas once again attracted me to the Sin City. My previous review focused more about the whole experience of what can ... Read the complete review

I stayed at the Luxor in May 08, and had an absolutely fanastic time. When we arrived after a long 11 hour direct flight, there was about a 30 minute queue just to check in, which was the last thing we wanted at the time. Eventually after checking in, and being given our room key and number, it then took us another 20 minutes, to figure out how to ... Read the complete review

This hotel is at the end of the strip making it one of the more affordable hotels on the strip. I stayed here in 2005 for a friends wedding, and visited again in 2008 - although I didn't stay over. The wedding chapel is beautiful inside and the staff worked really hard to make sure everything ran smoothly in the short but ... Read the complete review

Stayed here as 16 year old with parents and on arrival to las vegas airport you could instantly see the hotels beam of light shining from its roof. This light is supposed to be noticeable from the moon. The hotel is based on an egyptian pyramid and throughout the hotel this theme is kept to, with egyptian wall markings being everywhere ... Stayed here on my first visit to Vegas and have to say it was like no other hotel I had ever seen. The hotel is totally Egyptian themed inside and out, and has some huge public areas. The light on top of the pyramid can be seen from space. The strip (where the majority of hotels are) is only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport, so ... Read the complete review

We visited the Luxor several years ago and it was literally the most amazing place we have ever stayed. It was the first lobby we had been in where one could feel agrophobic. It was vast! It felt weird ascending to our room in the 'inclinator' (a lift that rises at a 45 degree angle). Our room had a sloping window filling the whole of ... Read the complete review

In anticipation of our first trip to Vegas in 2007, we decided we wanted a hotel on the Strip and did a lot of research on the internet. After reading lots of reviews we finally settled on a hotel which appeared good value and had plenty of attractions, this hotel was the Luxor. Just a few minutes taxi ride from the airport, the hotel ... Read the complete review

The Luxor Hotel proved to be a cracking choice for our honeymoon! I am very glad we choose to go to this cleverly themed hotel / casino which proved to be excellent value for money. However I would aid there are a couple of points that need consideration if you choose this as our venue of choice in Las Vegas. Upon arrival we got a ... Read the complete review

The luxor Hotel is right at the end of the strip opposite the airport. The theme of the hotel is obviously Egyptian and the main building is in the shape of a pyramid with a powerful light beam that is supposedly be able to be seen from the flight level in Los Angeles. Where ever you are in Las Vegas you can usually spot the beam shooting up into ... Read the complete review

If you're planning a trip to Las Vegas it can be confusing trying to decide which resort hotel to go as the choice is so fantastic. For a start, these are not like the hotels you might find in Spain or Greece, with a couple of restaurants, a bar, and maybe a spa and outdoor pool. These really are resorts! Many of them have a massive shopping ... Read the complete review

I visited this hotel a few years ago, and I would love to go there again. It was the most unique hotel I have ever visited, as it was shaped like a pyramid and the complex was enormous. Las Vegas is unique in itself and a great place for tourists. Every hotel seems to be linked, whether you can actually walk through an underpass from one hotel to ... Read the complete review

When I was invited to tag along with my friends on their trip to Las Vegas I was in two minds about it. Part of me was still actively boycotting the USA because of their silly immigration policy with fingerprinting everyone but the other part was really keen on finally getting to Las Vegas cheap. It’s not often you are invited to go along and your ... Read the complete review

In April 2003, I visited America for the first time, the reason behind the visit was to attend my brothers wedding which took place in a hotel in the mountains, about a half an hour drive from Las Vegas. Whilst in Las Vegas we stayed in the Luxor Hotel, it is situated on the strip, although not on the main part of the strip, and consists ... Read the complete review

Are pyramids your thing? Can you walk like an Egyptian? Can you tell your Cleopatra from your Nefertiti? Well, whether you can or you can't, the Luxor is worth checking out, and, if you can, checking into. This is a bit of a mammoth review, but it's a bit of a mammoth hotel! Now, I hardly made an exhaustive survey of all the Vegas ... Read the complete review

As you drive up to this spectacular building, you cannot help but be amazed. The huge sphinx at the entrance and black pyramid are truly magnificant. From the outside the hotel seems far more refined than some of the other glittery hotels nearby, relying on silly themes and lots of lighting. The Luxor relies, totally on good looks and the wow ... On all the Holiday programs they always show the Luxor. It is certainly a very impressive looking building , owned by Mandaloy Resorts (same as Mandalay Bay , Excalibur , Monte Carlo & Circus Circus). Another 4,000 plus rooms following the opening of the two new Towers about 3 or 4 years ago. Fronted by an ornately ... Read the complete review

Wow! It has this big light on top that you can see from Outer Space. Cool! And it’s shaped like an Egyptian pyramid. The Luxor is one of the cheapest hotels on the strip, but it sure is value for money. The rooms are comfortable with full bathroom, TV and 2 queen beds. There are numerous outdoor pools, which is handy, due to the desert ... Read the complete review
