Advantages: City Centre Location and Very Comfortable

Disadvantages: Fairly expensive if there are no promotions running

A Marriott hotel -owned by a Mormon and situated in the very heart of Salt Lake City the centre of the Mormon faith.
It's everything you'd expect it to be. Well run, friendly and helpful staff with very comfortable rooms in typical Marriott style with thick duvets and high thread cotton sheets.
The clientele is varied, businessmen and women, holiday makers and often high ranking visitors to the church too-so a real mix-makes for some great people watching in the comfortable lobby.
The location is excellent-probably the closest hotel to Temple Square where there are free tours offered all day long-not just for those with an interest in the LDS church but historically interesting too, Salt Lake City is a city surrounded by mountains and the views from the higher floors of the hotel are breathtaking.
Utah has fantastic skiing and as an alternative to staying in resort it is possible to stay at the Marriott and drive or use regular public transportation to the slopes daily. Not many city destinations include such easy skiing !
A nice hotel in a unique (and very clean) city.

Summary: Excellent city centre hotel for both those on business and holiday
