Advantages: Food/Drink and very nice pool

stayed at the Maspalomas Tabaiba Princess for 1 week at half board and booked through Thomson's. Half board included a fabulous buffet breakfast and an evening buffet with a wide choice of selection and different themed evenings. The bars also have a happy hour each evening and it is well worth taking advantage of this, the cocktails are very good and as the measures of alcohol are lethal. The hotel itself is very large, modern and clean, the pool is excellent with a man made beach. Across the road from the hotel is a small complex of shops and restaurants, also the beach is only a short walk away. As this is a platinum hotel we were offered an express checkout, where you check in your bags at the hotel, this was very handy as it saved messing about in queues at the airport. The restaurant by the pool was a favourite of mine for lunch the food was brilliant. Overall this is a great hotel which suits people of all ages, I don't really have any complaints about it and I wished I stayed longer. There are quite a few excellent hotels in Gran Canaria and I would definitely class this a one of then
