We stayed here in August as part of a multi centre holiday. We got to the hotel from El Prat airport by taxi as it was late evening and had no problems whatsoever, the taxi driver knew the hotel instantly and it was only 15 miunutes or so to get there, cost about 20 euros i think plus few euros for the luggage, they charge per item in Barcelona but its not much.
The hotel staff welcomed us immediately, there were pilots and airline crew all being checked in already but they were really efficient and whisked us through check in and organised the porter to take our luggage.
Our room was lovely, really spacious and a proper extra bed for our daughter, not a fold up type.
The room had table and chair, dressing tabel, huge bed, good amount of storage and hanging space a safe and a mini bar which was attractively housed behind a glass compartment. There was a proper coffee machine and filter coffee sachets were supplied, that was fab, never had that before.
The bathroom had a frosted glass door and was spacious and spotless with a good sized sink area and a nice suplly of complimentary items.
The location of the hotel is great, about 5 minutes walk to Las Ramblas and close to the marina. There are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants open till the early hours, Barcelona does not sleep! The metro stop at Paralel is right on the doorstop as are various bus stops and the furnicular up to Montjuc. The hotel is on a busy road but we never experienced any noise and our room overlooked the road.
The hotel has a lovely restaurant where breakfast is served and the array and choice is great. There are juices of every kind, cold meats, cheeses, hot items, eggs, sausages, bacon etc, various types of bread, the list is endless. Breakfast was included in our rate, i'm not sure what they charge if it is not however.
All in all we would definately stay here again for location and ease of transport from there and for the standard and welcome of the hotel.
