garymarsh6 Hotel Movenpick Resort (Petra, Jordan): ... Mövenpick hotel Petra. Part of our itinerary included a visit to Petra but we were supposed to return to Aqaba the same day but we knew that one day would not be enough and thought about spending the night in Petra so that we could visit little Petra the following day. When we spoke of our intentions to others they have never heard of Little Petra. The hotel in Aqaba arranged a special rate for us to stay ther...

garymarsh6 Hotel Movenpick Resort (Aqaba, Jordan)
... Mövenpick hotel Aqaba. The Mövenpick Hotel in Aqaba is situated in the Western part of Aqaba on the shores of the Red Sea. It is a 287 bedded hotel right near the beach 87 of the rooms are suites which are either 1 bedroom or two bed roomed apartments. The main part of the hotel is across the busy coastal road and on a steep incline to get into the reception area. The hotel is divided into two halves the newer building is on the slope and the older part is in an annex reached via a bridge with a selection of shops incorporated into the bridge itself. The shops were selling quality goods, leather, perfumes, clothing and there was also a souvenir shop. The older part ...

MeganFF Hotel Sheraton Luxor Resort (Luxor, Egypt)
... persuaded Mr M to visit Egypt in 2008. After a brief trawl through the internet, we opted to travel with Thomson as we had enjoyed a trip to Lake Garda with them the previous year, and the price was resonable. We stayed in the Sheraton Luxor Resort on a bed & breakfast basis for 7 days. Interestingly, we also had to visit Crete that year, and the B&B trip to Egypt was CHEAPER than the self catering trip to Crete! Let me say here, we lucked out. The hotel was fab, the staff were helpful and friendly. We couldn t have asked for more. It s classed as a resort because it has grounds . In the grounds of the hotel are a good number of shops and an Italian Restaur...

yackers1 Hotel Metin (Dalyan, Turkey)
... Metin Hotel is a small, and friendly, family run hotel in Dalyan, Turkey. The hotel is rated as a 3 star and consists of 25 standard room, 19 triple rooms and 3 family rooms. There are also 5 self catering apartments that will sleep up to 4 people. The hotel offers bed and breakfast or half board basis, but not all-inclusive packages. Whilst many may see the lack of an all-inclusive service a bad thing, I actually see it as a positive. The food in all of the all-inclusive hotels I have stayed in has been absolutely terrible and vile. I put this down to the fact that the hotel know they cannot squeeze any more cash out of the guests so the food is the cheapest and wo...
