Advantages: Situation, friendly staff and security

Disadvantages: Could do with some updating

As soon as we touched down in New York, I absolutely fell in love with it. The flight and spending money had took us back a little so we wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful to stay, and Milford Plaza certainly didnt fail to deliver. On pulling up, a member of staff came out and took our bags to our room. It was a freezing cold day so I was glad that when I walked into the hotel I was greeted by a lovely toasty warmth. The escalator took us up to the main floor and reception where you are greeted by marble walls, a café and a gift shop. The staff were extremely helpful, telling us the best places to go and giving us the cheapest deals. The security was also excellent, you had to go past security who would check, every time, that you were staying at the hotel, if you were not you had no chance of getting past them, which, personally, made me feel safe. The room was in need of updating but it was clean and tidy and we didn't care too much as we were just there to sleep. The situation of the hotel is pretty much perfect, you only have to walk one block and you are in the middle of Times Square and not far away from Empire State Building.
