After searching for a very long time for our perfect honeymoon our travel agent eventually pointed us in the direction of Cancun and more specifically the lush Moon Palace hotel. We were duly married on 2 June 2007 and the folloowing Tuesday jetted off from Manchester airport. The flight to Cancun is approximately 11 hours and we were very glad we upgraded our flights so we were more comfortable on such a long journey. The Moon Palace is not far from the airport, the transfer took about 20 mins and the welcome we got was superb. We went to the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico for two weeks from 29th Jan 2007. We only booked it about two weeks before hand so we got a very good deal. We knew someone who had been to the resort many years ago, and it sounded so wonderful that it was on our list of places we would like to go if we could afford it. We were looking for a late deal to go to the Caribbean at the end of January so when we saw the deal for two weeks at the Moon Palace for £3000 (should be a lot more) we jumped at the chance. Back in 2004 some good friends of ours announced their engagement and also wedding plans and said they were planning on getting married in September 2007 in Cancun, Mexico. “But that’s 3 ½ years away – it’ll never last”. Well it did and we have just come back from a fantastic two weeks, all inclusive holiday at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, Cancun. ***Booking*** Given the wedding plans and the fact there were 21 people going we had to book early and this was done a year ago via Thomsons.
