When you’re in Las Vegas and occasionally need somewhere to sleep, at least a couple of hours a day – be reasonable, then you’re certainly spoilt for choice. Where else in the world has such a glittering array of places to put your head on a pillow?

I would certainly recommend the New York – New York hotel. If you can get it at a decent rate then don’t hesitate to book it. It’s located at the Excalibur-MGM Grand section of The Strip and so there’s plenty to do in the immediately surrounding area.

The room quality is excellent and reflects the higher pricing scale in comparison to many other hotels on The Strip. Looking from the outside, New York – New York looks absolutely amazing with many features of the Big Apple
itself such as a Statue of Liberty replica - though obviously a bit smaller. Also on the outside of the hotel is a theme ride – the Coney Island roller coaster. It takes you up and down the outside before taking you upside down. I must admit that the MGM Grand is some sight standing up but it looks particularly good upside down. However, for all you roller coaster fanatics out there its bark is particularly worse than its bite!

The interior of New York – New York certainly doesn’t let down its outside appearance. To be truthful walking in the hotel, you could actually be in New York – not that I’ve ever been. A black ceiling that looks extremely authentic covers the streets and shops to great effect. You’ll get clam chowder and other themed treats from New York.

If price isn’t an issue for you then I would thoroughly recommend staying here. If you’re on a budget then you should keep an eye on room rates for special offers and limited deals. New York – New York gives you all the sights, sounds and specialities of the Big Apple.
