Crowne Plaza Manhattan New York:
... Plaza, Times Square Manhattan My lovely boyfriend recently decided to whisk me away for four nights in New York. I ve always wanted to go (I m a die-hard Sex and the City fan which has probably got a lot to do with it!) and was literally counting down the days (and hours) from the second we booked the flights. We chose to stay in the Crown Plaza which is right in the middle of Times Square in Manhattan. Wh... Read the full review: New York, New York! by ice_pink |

Mandalay Bay Resort ... here I am just back from this paradise in the desert. I have to say wow the trip was beyond belief. Where do I start. Well let me start at the beginning. We arrived in Vegas Sunday early afternoon and went straight to the hotel to check in. We walked straight up to the counter and were greeted by a very nice and pleasant clerk. We had a few requests and really hoped that the clerk would be able to help us out with this. Our requests were actually simple we wanted a high floor strip side. Slipping a 20 dollar bill between our credit card and our photo id we were assured the requests be fulfilled. Now please understand that Vegas is a tip oriented place and... MGM Grand ... say if you re visiting Las Vegas bring some comfortable walking shoes for the seemingly endless walks between the casinos. If you re staying at the MGM Grand bring an extra pair, you ll need them if your room is some way down those huge corridors. Location wise its not too far from the airport (no noticable noise in the rooms I ve stayed in) and is in quick walking distance from a number of casinos/shops/restaurants. Hotel wise the place is huge with over 5000 rooms in different layouts, sizes and styles. In my previous 2 stays at the MGM Grand I ve booked the West Wing rooms as they are comfortable and also handily accessible from the strip (via the West Wing Ba... Roosevelt Hotel New York ... stayed at this hotel in January 2008 with my boyfriend for four nights. We got a good deal through Expedia and booked a superior room as we d heard the cosy rooms were extremely small! Upon arriving and getting out of the taxi I couldn t get over the size of the place, it literally takes up an entire block which I found quite daunting. However when I walked inside I was blown away by the lobby area, it was like stepping back into 1930 s New York (or how I d imagine it to be) The lobby was a vast space full of ornate decoration and a beautiful huge clock hanging from the ceiling which makes an amazing centrepiece and it has been featured in a few films. Within the lobb... Read the full review: I'm sure Teddy would stay here. by holi_k |
