We should have been at the Copacabana Beach Hotel on the Mayan Riviera near Tulum, on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. That was until (Hurricane) Wilma had her say. With just a week to go our tour operator (Airtours) phoned to say that our holiday was off and we could either have a full refund or an alternative holiday. We had both (my Wife and I) been looking forward to this trip, having booked it well in advance in order to assure ourselves a reservation. To go without any holiday at all was out-of-the-question.
