Advantages: The location is excellent, the owners are fantastic and there is a seculed beach 50 metres away
Disadvantages: The rooms are very basic but thats the custom in Greece
Hi Everyone!
We recently visited the Olive Grove Appartments in Sidari (19th June 06-27th June 06) are really really enjoyed it!
LOCATION:
We cannot fault the location as it was excellent. The appartments are situated in the lovely Canal D'amour area of Sidari with many bars, restaurants and shops just a 2 minute walk away and there is a lovely secluded beach just 5 minutes from the appartments with breath-taking views. The main strip of Sidari is about a 10-15 walk away which was ideal if you don't want all the noice but easy to walk to.
THE APPARTMENTS:
The appartments were very basic but we were expecting that as all appartments in Greece are. We booked a studio appartment which was a nice size and had a pool view balcony. The shower had good pressure and we always had hot water in a matter of seconds. The appartments are always kept very clean as there is maid service 5 times a week and can hire a fan for just 3 euro a night! You can also hire films to your rooms at just 2 euro a film if you wanted a quiet night in.
THE OWNERS, BAR AND POOL:
Yanni and Katerina (the owners) and Shaun (behind the bar) are really friendly and helpful. They run a fantastic bar which serves tasty food and drink at a very reasonable price. We ate there for breakfast most days and a few times for dinner.Yanni and Katerina were excellent hosts and worked long hours to make your stay enjoyable and memorable but DONT yawn at the bar or you will find yourselves downing a shot of tequilla! Every Sunday night is BBQ night which is only 15 euro each and lots of fun! It is well worth the 15 euro as you get lovely greek and english food, there is greek dancing and table lifting with your teeth! There are also films shown on a widescreen in the lounge everynight(quite newish films 2!) but as we went when the world cup was on- it was mostly the football that was shown.
The pool was a nice size and wasn't too cold which was ideal for us!There was also a jacuzzi and small childrens pool. There was a selection of lilo's and inflatables for anyone to use and plenty of sunlougers around the pool. There was also a selection of suncreams and magazines/newspapers that people could use for free at the bar-which we found to be very useful!
OVERVIEW:
As you can probably see, we really enjoyed our holiday at the Olive Grove and couldn't really fault it for much. We would recommend these appartments to anyone and will be returning there ourselves next year!
We hope this review summed up our experience and is helpful to you.

Summary: Relaxed and friendly complex in a excellent location
