Advantages: Such a comfy bed, great location especially for Downtown Disney

Disadvantages: None really!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two nights last week, right at the beginning of our holiday in Florida. We got a great deal through Hotwire, and paid approximately 50 dollars a night for a standard room (not including breakfast though). There are a number of deals available on the internet for this hotel.

- Location -

The hotel was extremely easy to find. Not only is it bright yellow with wild patterns all over it, but it's also right on one of the main roads off the interstate, and clearly signposted. It's in an ideal location for both Disneyworld and Downtown Disney. There's a free shuttle bus to and from Disneyworld from the hotel, and Downtown Disney is just a pleasant 20 minute walk away.

The main street that the hotel is on (Apopka Vineland Road) has a lot of diners, gas stations, and souvenir shops. There's a Denny's, an IHOP, and also a Perkins restaurant within walking distance, among others. We also managed to find a pirate-themed crazy golf place along the street and spent an enjoyable morning doing this one day.

- First impressions -

When we pulled up to the hotel during the afternoon of our first night there, my first impression wasn't great. This was due to the extremely loud music coming from the pool area - I just didn't think this was going to be the ideal place for the relaxing romantic break I had in mind.

However, when we checked in, the receptionist informed us that the pool area had been booked for the afternoon for a party, but that if we wished to use the pool, they had made arrangements for guests to use the pool at the Sheraton across the road. This was fine by me and seemed reasonable. We couldn't hear the music from our room, and went out again shortly after checking in anyway. The music and party had finished by the time we went to bed, so it wasn't a problem at all in the end.

- The room -

The room was very clean and comfortable and decorated in modern shades of yellow. I would not fault anything at all with it - in fact, the beds were the comfiest out of our whole stay. One of the best aspects of our room was the great big window and nice view - we could see the Mary Poppins balloon at Downtown Disney in the sky in the distance.

Please note there was an additional fee for using the safe, so keep this in mind if you are planning to use it.

- Conclusion -

This hotel was exactly what we were looking for when we came to Orlando. It was in a great location for Downtown Disney, which is what we were looking for, without being overly expensive. The beds were luxuriously comfortable, and the room was always spotlessly clean. We both said we would stay there again, if we were back in Florida again and looking for a hotel in this area.

Summary: Fitted our needs perfectly, had a great stay and would go back
