Advantages: Terrific value

Disadvantages: Some rooms are a little 80s

The Orleans has to be the best kept secret in Las Vegas !
When you think of Las Vegas hotels you think of the Bellagio, Ceasers Palace and the MGM Grand. Fabulous hotels-but usually with a fabulous price tag attached too.
The Orleans isn't on the Strip-it "only" has a couple of thousand rooms and it's the best deal going !
The Vegas Strip is HUGE-and most people aren't prepared for the distance between the hotels and end up with very sore feet or a big taxi bill. Wherever you stay On Strip will be a walk to some of the other hotels and attractions you want to visit so instead of paying top dollar and staying in a hotel that is a tourist attraction in itself (all the Strip hotels bar one are themed and tourists love to visit) why not stay a mile off Strip (with a reliable and free shuttle that drops you on the Strip) and pay a fraction of the price.
The Orleans -as its name implies has a New Orleans theme-it also has ten different places to eat from a fabulous steak house to the traditional buffet and everything in between. The pool area is nicer than many of the Strip pools, there's a multiplex cinema, a 70 lane bowling alley and a Showroom featuring many well known and loved artists.
The Orleans also has to try that little bit harder because it is off Strip and isn't an automatic first choice. Huge rooms all with seperate sitting area (perhaps a little dated) bigger than many of the Strip hotel's rooms and staff who go out of their way to try that little bit harder.
Price-this is where they try hardest of all ! I have never paid more than $100 for a weekend night at the Orleans-and sometimes as little as $60-weekdays are a real bargain-several times I've paid $29 a night-massive savings compared to the Strip-and when it comes down to it-who in Vegas sits in their room anyway ?
The Orleans also has an excellent price matching scheme. Find your dates and room type on any other internet site at a cheaper price and they will match the price-even if you find that deal weeks later. Many price matching schemes say you have to find the cheaper deal the same day or within twenty four hours so this is excellent.
The Orleans isn't the glitziest hotel in town but it certainly isn't a dump either-Me I'd rather spend my money on having fun in Vegas than on a room I'll only see for a few hours a night !

Summary: Fantastic value for money -which is rare in Vegas !
