I have just returned from a weekend break at the 'Quality' Hotel Chester with my wife and some friends, we had gone for a whopping break in Chester which I would strongly recommend, however, I would not recommend this hotel at all. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this is one of the worst I have stayed at. Pictures and indeed write ups can be desceptive and in this case they really were. having arrived on the Friday evening, we found we had no water coming out of the shower and the wash basin water was cold. This has to be the worst hotel i've ever stayed in! The shower in the bathroom had no running hot water and it took 20 minutes for the bath to half fill enabling a wash for myself and my children. Bedding was ripped, some of it had cigarette burns on the blankets (how out of date!). The decor left alot to be desired. Only 4 tea bags, with 3 cups for 4 people staying in a room (my children also drink tea!). No water for guests to drink - i wouldn't dare drink anything out of the taps. When ordering at the bar the bar staff (who are foreign) did not understand what i asked for and didn't give it to me before charging for the remainder of drinks! NAME OF LOCATION: Quality Hotel, at Chester. There are 75 ensuite bedrooms but you will need transport to Chester as it actually at Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port and was at least 11 miles from Chester itself.
