Advantages: Great location
Disadvantages: Traffic noise
I stayed at this hotel for 14 nights during my stay in Orlando, Florida.
Current prices are only around £150 for a week for two people, so it's very cheap! I know this as I've just booked another week there this September!
The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs, our primary reason for our holiday was to visit the theme parks, as with most people who visit Orlando!
The hotel is located in the middle of International Drive, the main road that goes between some of the main parks such as Sea World, Wet n Wild, Universal etc. The hotel offers free shuttle bus services to each of the parks, except Disney, where you have to pay a fee each time, and when we went that was $14 dollars each.
There are plenty of places to eat surrounding the hotel, including a Pizza Hut right outside, and "Point Orlando" is across the road, offering a few restaurants and shops. There is also a supermarket just up the road, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Unfortunately, breakfast is not included, but there is a little shop on site selling things like croissants etc which are inexpensive.
The hotel itself was basic, but nice enough. We literally just went there to sleep, as we were out all day at the parks, and the two king size beds were very welcome after a long day at the parks! The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean and a fair size. The only thing we found odd was there was no sink in the bathroom, it was in the main part of the room!
One downside to the hotel is that it is sandwiched inbetween International Drive and the highway, so you could hear traffic noise from our room, as the doors/windows were not very sound proof, but it didn't stop us sleeping.
There is a trolley stop right outside the hotel too, where you can catch the trolley bus for $1, and it goes up and down international drive all day, so that's handy for getting around. There were always taxis waiting outside the hotel too.
All in all, a cheap and cheerful hotel with everything you need, but it isn't the Ritz!
Summary: Great location, basic but reasonable hotel
