Advantages: Really well located for site seeing

Disadvantages: Very cosy (ie small) rooms!

I stayed at the Traiano Hotel for a weekend break in Rome. It is a nice hotel but the rooms, like many hotels in Rome, are a bit on the small side. I think our room was the smallest in the hotel and there was pretty much only room for a bed, wardrobe and some bedside tables. It was however, clean and comfortable and what it lacked in size it most definitely made up for in terms of location.

The hotel in my opinion is brilliantly located being just a short stroll from many of the main attractions in Rome including the Collisium and Trevi Fountain. It is the perfect base for exploring the city but without spending a fortune on accomodation.

I found the staff friendly and more than happy to help with suggesting what sites were good to visit. There is also a very nice restaurant with very good quality food.

The bar area is also good with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for relaxing in after site seeing. There is so much to see in Rome you'll walk for miles! If I am lucky enough to return to Rome I would be more than happy to stay at this hotel again and to recommend it to others.

Summary: A good place to stay without spending a fortune
