Advantages: Clean and modern good location

Disadvantages: Staff unhelpful and clueless. Rooms and corridors are tiny!

I stayed here is October 2008 through business rather than pleasure. This was a two night stay. My first impression of the hotel when I walked through into reception was that it was clean and well presented.

Check In
The booking was made direct with the hotel and in my name however when I arrived I was told my booking could not be found. The receptionist had a poor standard of English and when I asked her to check for the booking again she became quite hostile and rude.

Location- For convenience the hotel is right next to Warren Street tube station so close in fact you virtually wander out of the hotel and into the tube station. Perfect for what I was after! Some of the rooms at the front of the hotel are quite noisy though and one of my colleagues was woken up both mornings by the shutters from the tube station being opened early in the morning.

Room- Very small but like many London hotels. Décor was modern and the hotel was very clean. Not much room for my case and the bed was not a standard double bed even though I had asked for a double room. Bathroom was spotless and the shower was fantastic. Room did get extremely hot and opening the window meant it was noisy from the busy road outside.

General- What I did notice that the hotel corridors are extremely narrow and in some parts so narrow you could not have two people pass each other side by side! . I did not have a large case so was very surprised that I had to squeeze my case around a corner in the corridor on the way to my room! Also experienced a fire alarm which was a false alarm but chaos occurred at 2am in the morning. What was worrying was the staff did not know what was going on, did not coordinate or offer guidance. In fact , when asked one of the staff members told me she didn't know what to do.

I didn't have a bad experience with the hotel and found my stay quite pleasant but if I was paying for the hotel out of my own cash then I wouldn't stay again and don't think it was worth the £180 a night per room for what I got.

Summary: Nice hotel, not great value for money and rooms are very small
