Advantages: Clean, Friendly, Good for sightseeing, Good location for theatre district

Disadvantages: Not very attractive from outside, No Fridge, expensive restaurant, potentially dangerous balcony

We stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Boston for 10 nights in March, we booked the hotel through Hotwire which gave us a very reasonable rate.

Boston is my favourite city and we have stayed there 5 times in the last 3 years. The Radisson was great although not my favourite.

The building is extremely ugly - from the outside it looks like a multi-storey car park, which I believe that part of it is.

The lobby area is very dark, as it underground. However the staff are very friendly at both the reception desk and concierge.

We had two rooms in the hotel as we stayed with my in-laws. The rooms were next door to each other, and were the same inside.

The rooms were very pleasant and rather spacious. There were 2 double beds, a chair & desk and built in wardrobe. They both had tea & coffee making facilities, however no fridge.

Both rooms had sleep number beds. The idea is that you select your sleep number dependent on how hard or soft you like your mattress. The sleep number can be adjusted differently on each side of the bed, in theory allowing each person to get a great nights sleep. In reality this doesn't work that well, as throughout the night the bed would deflate meaning that it didn't matter how hard you made the mattress, by morning it would be soft. Also as each side can be a different number there was a ridge in the centre, which again would become more prominent as the night went on. Making the bed slightly uncomfortable.

Each room had a balcony and patio doors, which overlooked the pool / gym area and the prudential centre area of town.

The balcony was very pleasant to sit out and gave great views of the city and the sea, however for small children or adults who may be a little tipsy this could be dangerous, so caution should be taken when staying here.

The restaurant has a good selection for breakfast and dinner or snacks, however is expensive. Breakfast easily tops $25 per person. The bar is reasonable for drinks and is very comfortable to while away the evening.

The hotel is conveniently located for restaurants and the T (tube) stations and is in the heart of the theatre district

Overall the hotel was good, but I think I would have been slightly disappointed had I paid full price.

Summary: Good hotel, very convenient for sightseeing.
