They grow their own fruit and vegetables that are served up in plenitude at breakfast and in the wonderful Sri Lankan curries that you are given in the evenings. Our second destination on our Sri Lankan holiday was Siranraja Rainforest and we stayed very closeby at a lovely place called Rainforest Edge. This was such an interesting and rustic place and unlike anywhere that I have ever stayed before! It's probably one of the least accessible places I have stayed in the heart of Sri Lanka where the roads are so unmade that it takes for ever to travel even a few miles. Also when we arrived it was at the end of a rough stony windy track that, although probably less than a mile in distance, takes well over ten minutes to cover in a mini van!
