You can’t check into your room until 2pm on the day of arrival and when you do, make sure you allow plenty of time to do so. There is a queuing system for the reception and you have to fill in a form with all your details before you join the queue ~ if you forget you may be sent to the back of the queue again too. During my hectic September, travelling to and fro on a quest for beer and music, we spent two days in London to go to the last concert in Rick Astley’s UK Tour, meaning that we had to spend a night in a central London hotel. I must point out that the hotel was booked for us, paid for by Rick Astley (name dropper) and picked purely for its location rather than anything else. Our friend Bob, who was visiting the concert with us, was given leave to book a reasonably priced hotel in the area around The Criterion Theatre ~ so he looked on the Internet and chose two double rooms and one single room at The Regent Palace Hotel. ~~~Where is The Regent ...
