WHY DID WE BOOK THE RINGHOTEL FRIEDERIKENHOF? We did not actually, in a sense, choose to book this hotel. It just happened to be the venue for a friend's wedding reception. He was marrying a girl from Lubeck in the north of Germany. The invitation arrived last Easter for the wedding on 5th October. We booked our three night stay immediately upon our receipt, and acceptance, of the invitation, having discovered that it was not exorbitantly expensive, had an en-suite room available for the three nights that we wanted to be there, and actually looked rather pleasant on the website.
