Advantages: Strip Access, Great coffee shop

Disadvantages: Old, slightly run down in need of remodel

This is the very first Casino I have ever been to. For a first timer to Vegas this place seemed so classy and just on the edge. My first visit was wonderful. The casino seemed to have a scent of flowers every where I went. The sound of jackpots and winners was to be heard coming from every corner in the place. The doors Open to the strip making for easy access to the other casino's that are in walking distance.
I was to be enthralled with this place for many years. That is untill they put in nickel town. It would seem that with that one simple move they had completely changed every thing that was good about this Casino. Now instead of the draw of an older Vegas from the times of Sinatra you had the money hungry CEO's that were trying new things just to make a buck. Needless to say it failed.
One of the best things that this place continues to have going for it is the coffee shop named Kady's. My husband and I have spent many a night there eating all you can eat pancakes and drinking the all you can drink coffee.
They have removed Nickeltown and sad to say I have not been back even now. I do still walk buy and rub the crazy girl buts for good luck but as for spending my money in that casino I will pass it up every time. For me that is a Casino that has seen better days. Not a place I would want to stay but a place I would stop at just for the all you can eat pancakes.

Summary: Was a great place in its hayday.
