Newest Review: ... minutes I was bored. Having a sauna with The Boyfriend is generally funny as he pours bucket loads of water onto the coals, making it a thermometer test to see how hot he can get it to go. Add to this that saunas generally fail to have television and he would have to actually talk to me..... I looked around the doorway of the men's changing room. There were no other residents down here and it seemed, no one else in the sauna with him. I tiptoed across the tiled floor of the changing rooms and swung open the plate glass door of the sauna. The steam from the kettle sizzled into the air, reflected in the black plastic tray which held it. It was 7pm and just starting to get dark in Brussels, The Boyfriend was making tea and I was sat on the insanely puffy bed surrounded by chocolate wrappers. We'd scored a fairly good deal in the 5 star Royal Windsor through Travelzoo and paid only 76 Euro for the night, spending a further 27 Euro on the buy-one-get-one-free breakfast. The outside of the Royal Windsor hotel in Brussels is flat, concrete and unremarkable, bar the huge flags and the location just around the corner from the medieval square, Grand Place.
