This hotel really made our trip to NY amazing. A discreet entrance leads to a fantastically luxurious lobby and the check in staff were really helpful.

The room we were in was really plush and the shower was huge and just what was needed after a long day shopping.

We used the concierge service to get us reservations at a great restaurant (we had tried ourselves but couldn't get a table!) I overheard the concierge being used a few times when we were in the bar and they were always suggesting places to go and really tailoring things for people - definitely worth using if you need inspiration.

The hotel has a great location - between 5th and 6th avenue within easy reach of the shops, central park, MoMA, Rockerfeller... and there is a subway station just 2 block down on 6th making the downtown easy to get to as well.

The bar seemed to get very busy weekday evenings with an after work crowd so we tended to either have an afternoon drink or one before bed when it was quieter.

Its not on the cheap side - rates vary from around $400 - $800 a night - but for an extravagant stay in one of the best cities in the worl, it cant be beaten.

When I go back I will definitely be staying here!
