... budget hotel located on the world famous Las Vegas Strip with good links to the rest of the strip. The monorail station is conveniently located at the rear of the Sahara which is a really good way to access the heart of the strip. (The Strip is 4 miles long and the Sahara is at one end). Despite the price I don't think we would choose to stay here again. The hotel seemed dirty and in need of some TLC and the area around the Sahara seemed pretty rough....more

Premium Review Sahara: Some good and some bad (390 words)

Rating:

The Sahara is a moroccan themed hotel situated on the north end of the main strip in Las Vegas. My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst travelling the USA. I would describe the Sahara as a budget hotel offering cheap room rates whilst offering accommodation of the main Las Vegas strip. The north end of the strip seemed rather seedy and more run down than any other part of the strip. The Sahara is quite an old hotel by Vegas standards and I think despite some updating over time you can still tell its old. We found our room to be of a good size with a comfy double bed and large bathroom, however we both thought the room needed a really good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sahara - cheap, but GREAT Value (290 words)

The Sahara hotel - at the North end of the strip, not for from the Stratosphere - is a place I've not stayed IN, but spent time AT. The buffet consists of traditional breakfast favourites, waffles, cereals, fruit, pastries, sausage/bacon etc - but as it's more of a 'brunch' i've even had an excellent Beef ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Standard Sahara (261 words)

Rating:

The Sahara is a desert in North Africa for those uneducated amongst you. In the themed world of Las Vegas the Sahara hotel is based upon a kind of Arabian theme. For those on a budget, you can’t really go wrong with the Sahara. It’s position on The Strip is not so bad and the rooms are on the small yet clean side. However, when comparing Las Vegas hotels it is easy to become picky. In the rest of the world, the Sahara hotel would be excellent. But this is Las Vegas where there are extremely high standards set and which need to be kept. For me, the theme doesn’t work that well because it’s quite a weak topic – neither ...  Read the complete review
