Advantages: Close to the parks, good breakfast, characters around hotel

Disadvantages: Basic and dated

I flew into Paris and got the shuttle bus to the Hotel and Park Complex. The Bus dropped of first at Newport and then the second drop was at the Sequoia Lodge, which is great for getting there.

On arrival you are dropped of close to the reception area and making your way into the hotel it looks bright and clean. On arrival you have to queue to check in. The check in process is quite organised and soon gets done.
While checking in we may have been lucky but Mickey Mouse dressed in the forest gear walked up to greet all the kids which was wonderfull start to the stay.

We stayed in one of the lodges outside the main hotel. Sequoia Lodge consists of the main hotel with a string of lodges in its ground. I would pay the extra next time to get in the main hotel.

Out room was basic and dated but the actuall size of the room was great. It had two double beds and still had plenty of room to move about. The Television in the room is a total waste of time.

The Hotel is situated in a great place to ease access to the actual parks. It is on the oppersite side of the lake to the parks but only take around 10 mins gentle walk to get to them.

Every morning there is a chance to get your photo taken with characters in the hotel loby. They change the characters every hour. We even had Snow White one day.

We found it better to take the early slot for the breakfast as it tends to get busy the later you leave it. Breakfast are great with everything you could want.

The hotel Shop is very good and always worth a visit although make sure you have plenty of money as you will find a lot of things you want to buy there. Also the shop does sell water and crisps should you be hungry and need something to fill a small gap at anytime.

One leaving the Sequoia Lodge to get the shuttle bus back to the airport there can be a slight problem. Make sure you leave plenty of time as the Sequoia Lodge is the second to last pick up and the coach tends to be nearly full by the time it gets to the hotel.

This hotel is on the lake and is one of the closest hotels to the park. There is one hotel right next to the entrance to Disneyland.

Summary: For the time you spend in the hotel perfectly situated and does the job
