Advantages: Good central location for your safari - one of the few within the park and quite cheap

Disadvantages: Dirty, bugs in food and noisy work going on

We stayed here for two nights and it was the worst place we stayed at during our trip. We started off in room No 59 which was on the ground floor on the corner. When we first got into the room we were relatively happy with the furnishings and the room was clean, the problems started when we went to sleep. Basically there were bugs all over the room, and I'm not just talking about one or two that you might expect while you were on safari I mean small black bugs dropping from the ceiling, large flying ones coming under the floorboards, millipedes and all kinds of other insects coming from every crack and crevice you can imagine. Needless to say we had the worst night's sleep of our life! The next day we asked to move rooms, when we explained about the bug problem they didn't seem at all bothered but they moved us none the less into room number 45 which was on the upper level. This room was fine bug wise but there was work going on outside and a radio playing quite late into the night which was a bit annoying.
The food here was also dire, at first we thought that the bug problem was just in our room as it was on the corner with outside walls but it turns out it extended into the kitchen as well.
The rice had bugs crawling in it and the desserts had ants in them. When we pointed the rice out to the chef he did nothing about it and instead he and some of the staff serving in the restaurant sat down and started eating it themselves as if we had never mentioned it!
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone I thought it was absolutely disgusting and would not return.
