The Shangri La Hotel, Dubai is located on one of the main roads in Dubai, Sheikh Zayed road. We decided to stay in this hotel when we visited Dubai in November 2005 for the wedding of our friends. The hotel looked amazing on the website so we were really looking forward to our holiday. Upon our arrival at the hotel, I was astounded by the sheer size of the two towers that greeted us, they were huge sky scrapers, I later found out that they were 200 metres tall and had 43 stories, so you can imagine for yourselves how huge this was!
