Advantages: Beach Locationl, Pleasant Surroundings, Attractions Nearby
Disadvantages: Chaotic Restaurants
This hotel is located on the Sentosa Island in Singapore. It is a very clean and well maintained resort which matches the environment of Singapore as even the main city centre is kept extremely clean. It is situated on the beach front and offers lovely views overlooking the South China Sea. There is a bus service from the hotel to other attractions on the island aswell as a service into the city centre.
Arrival - The main foyer area is very open which gives it a lovely spacious effect. We arrived at around 3am after a flight from Brisbane and were staying here for 5 days before continuing on to Dubai. The reception staff were very courteous and provided us with a complimentary upgrade as it was our honeymoon. Our baggage was brought to our room promptly and we were asked if we required anything before retiring to bed. We were very pleased with our first impressions and couldnt fault the friendliness of the staff.
Room - The room was an executive room and was very spacious. It feature two double beds, balcony area, television, dressing table area, plenty of storage, a large clean bathroom and ample wardrobe space along with a fridge. There were room service menus available in the room aswell as a list of facilities and a hotel guidebook. There were fresh flowers and upon opening the fridge there was a bottle of wine and a chocolate cake which said Congratulations, this cake was gorgeous. The decor was very nice and didnt look at all dated and the whole room seemed very clean and fresh.
Food - There are several restaurants offering seafood, pasta and pizza, barbecue area and a buffet restaurant which also offers a menu similar to the room service menu offered. The food in the buffet is very nice though seems to be the same foods everyday. They cater for all culinary tastes though and food is well presented. All the restaurants always seem very busy and chaotic and very unorganised. For this reason we ate in the buffet restaurant a couple of times then had the rest of the meals as room service as this service always seemed a lot more efficient. Pool side food is available throughout the day and is brought to you at your lounger by waiters or waitresses on rollerblades. An average meal cost around £5 which is good value as the portions were a good size and the food was of a high standard.
Facilities - There is a large pool area and several smaller pools for children leading off. There is a pool area with 2 slides for children also. For those wanting relaxtion, there is a jacuzzi attached to the pool, however this was out of order during our visit. There is a spa service available though I thought it seemed a bit pricey so didnt experience any of the treatments. There is a games room and table tennis facilities along with bicycle and roller blade hire located just outside the hotel. The beach is located right by the hotel and I found the water lovely. There are ships and tankers visible in the distance but given the fact that Singapore is a large importer/exporter of goods then I expected this and doesnt effect the quality of your stay.
Overall, I would stay at this hotel again, it was very relaxing and offered good food and ample facilities for a relaxation holiday. It is ideal for couples, singles, and families and I definitely intend on staying here again. It costs approximately £120 a night to stay here and that is inclusive of a breakfast buffet and I feel it is good value for money as is a high standard of hotel.
This is my own review and has featured on another review website.
Summary: Beautifully located hotel
