Advantages: spacious rooms, close to all the attractions

Disadvantages: some of the rooms look a bit tired

Sheraton Atlantic City is located right across from the huge Atlantic City Convention Center and the Atlantic City Railway Station, with AMTRAK and New Jersey transit connections.

One of the non gaming hotels in the city it offers plenty of facilities and 502 rooms. It has a small gym and indoor pool with outdoor whirlpool (seasonal), a gift shop and several bars and eating places. The Shoe Bar on the second floor serves light snacks and cocktails. Boulevard's Cafe serves breakfast daily and the Tun Tavern Restaurant and Brewery offers steaks, seafood, sandwiches and salads, it opens daily from 11.30 - midnight and on a Friday and Saturday till late night hours.

The hotel has a theme of the Miss America Pagent which includes pictuers in every room and around the hotel as well as costumes and shoes. This is in honour of Atlantic City once being the home of the Miss America Pagent for 88 years before Donald Trump bought the rights and took it out west.

Right on the doorstep of the hotel is the Atlantic City Outlets, factory shopping in the heart of the city and includes the likes of DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Adidas, Nike to name a few. Be sure to ask the concierge at the hotel for a coupon book with loads of discounts off all the stores.

You can actually see the casinos and resorts including Trump Plaza, Caesars and Ballys from the Sheraton and are only a ten minute walk from the hotel as is the world famous boardwalk. The jitney buses outside can also take you to any of the major casinos for around $2.

Stays at the hotel also can earn you points in the Starwood Preferred Guest programme.

You can pay for in room internet but the Link @ the Sheraton is located in the 2nd floor lobby outside the Shoe Bar with 5 computers offering free internet access.

Rooms are spacious with flat screen tvs, very comfy beds, large bathrooms with hairdryers and toiletries developed for the Sheraton by Bliss Spa.

With all that in mind the rooms looked a little tired and could maybe do with a spruce up even if it is to update the in room hotel guide which looked really shabby. I think this is maybe the case with the high number of guest turnover from the convention center and weekend gambling visitors.

This is a good hotel centrally located, close to the casinos, boardwalk and outlet shops.
