Very good hotel in Magaluf (Sol Guadalupe Hotel)

Advantages: Great value for money

Disadvantages: Hard to get sun loungers at times

I stopped in the Sol Guadalupe Hotel in Magaluf with a mate during June 2008. We arrived at the hotel during the early hours of the morning, and were very quickly checked in and given key cards to allow us to get in to our room. The room we were given was on the 8th floor, so it was a good job that the hotel had fast lifts!

We were impressed by the room, it was clean, quite spacious and had a good balcony. The bathroom could not be complained about either, though we did have a problem with the shower that was quickly fixed by the staff when reported.

Food in the hotel was very nice. Breakfast and evening meals are self service, so you eat exactly how much you fancy.

The hotel has a lovely pool, the only problem that we found though was that the sun loungers were quickly taken, so we either had to sit at a table, or use the facilities of one of the other Sol hotels in Magaluf (of which there are many).

Overall, I think that this hotel is unfortunate to only be rated at 3 stars, it should be 4 stars really. All of the staff are very helpful, and the on-site entertainment is quite good.

Summary: I would certainly come back to this hotel
