Hotel Riu Cancun (Mexico):
... in Mexico! The Riu Cancun is an amazing hotel, the location is great, the service is great & the people/staff are great. Location. The Riu Cancun is in Cancun, Mexico. It is situated about 20 minutes from Cancun Airport. This is great as transfers are easy and not too long, especially after a 10 and a half hour flight. Emperador Hotel (Buenos Aires, Argentina) ... hotel is on the Avenida del Libertador in the Recoleta district of Buenos Aires and is situated within walking distance of most areas in Buenos Aires and is close to the main railway station. The entrance is modern looking with gold revolving doors and there is at least one doorman at all times to welcome you in. The lobby is quite spacious and very well appointed, there are flower arrangements on tables which are fresh and look welcoming. The reception desk is on the left as you walk in to the hotel and they will also change money at a reasonable rate here. On the right hand side is an open looking bar with comfortable seats and tables. At the back of the hotel, t... Read the full review: Rooms fit for an Emperador by catsholiday |

Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center (Santiago, Chile) ... and soap with a shower cap. There was also a good hair dryer not attached to the wall so you could take it out into the bedroom to dry your hair leaving the bathroom free for the other person to use. There were plenty of mirrors in good light for make-up etc. both in the bathroom and in the main room. As we often found in hotels in South America, there was no kettle in the room so no tea or coffee without spending money downstairs in the bar area. However being cheapskates we had taken our travel kettle and some coffee and tea so we were able to enjoy our hot drink in our room for nothing. As I mentioned before this is a business hotel and conference centre, the la... Read the full review: A far from Chile welcome by catsholiday |

Libertador Lake Titicaca (Puno, Peru) ... were getting up a 4.30am the next morning and had been on the train for 12 hours that day we decided to have an early night and were in bed by 10pm. We both slept well, exhausted by the days travel and the stimulating company of a couple of grumpy Germans who sat opposite us on the train and didn t seem to like anything or anywhere in South America. Up early the next day. Dressed in every warm item of clothing I had brought with me, we met in the lobby to walk down to the hotel jetty to take the boat out for our visit to the floating Islands on Lake Titicaca. The boat had two levels and we decided to sit on top to enjoy the view - on the way out to the islands this wa... Read the full review: A hotel that 'sails' on Lake Titicaca by catsholiday |
