Buenos Aires Hostel:
... stayed in a hostel in Buenos Aires called Tango Backpackers (a good name, as the Tango is the dance of Argentina!) and I liked the hostel a lot. I booked it online before I went, through a well known website. I stayed in a private room (although there are many different types of rooms to stay in, including dormitories and private rooms that accommodate more people) and I was very happy with the room- it was clean... Sandos Playacar Beach Resort (Mexico) ... Room: After 2 or 3 cold Corona s on the coach our 50 min transfer from Cancun airport ended and we were checked in and shown to our room. We stayed in the new section of the hotel room 9356 which faced the huge pool . We had one huge double bed which was quite firm just how we like it, we did ask for an extra pillow which arrived immediately. There was a Plasma TV, fridge which was stocked daily with water,pepsi,7up and of course beer. The bathroom had his n hers sink, separate shower and double Jacuzzi bath ! Everything was spotlessly clean and were all in fine working order . I did bring my own super hair dryer with me but as the voltage is so low in Mexico the h... Casa San Blas (Cusco, Peru) ... Andean cheese and bacon, served with lemongrass risotto and fruit chutneys; or, trout poupiette and roasted Andean potatoes with greens in a teriyaki and aguaymanto vinaigrette. We had both of these and very good they were too. Most of the ingredients are said to be organic, incidentally. The wine list is limited and almost entirely South American, but it s easy to find something drinkable to go with the meal. Service is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I ve lost my itemised bill, but I do remember that the prices seemed very reasonable by local standards. Room service is also available. * Chain affiliation * Having talked at the outset of preferring independ... Read the full review: The discreet charm of the Casa San Blas by duncantorr |

Inkaterra Pueblo Hotel - Machu Picchu ... don t care what we re paying; it s worth it." This is not a sentiment often voiced in our value-conscious family, but as we sat sated by dinner at our window table overlooking the Urubamba gorge, I found myself not only unsurprised to hear my wife saying it, but nodding in agreement too. Admittedly, we may have been influenced by the complimentary Pisco Sour cocktails and the excellent Chilean wine with which we had washed down our delicious meal, but we have drunk well at many other hotels without reaching the same conclusion. So what made the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel - formerly and still alternatively known as the Pueblo - different? The welcome? The... Read the full review: A priceless experience by duncantorr |
