Advantages: Location in resort and to the sea, staff very friendly, quiet and relaxing

Disadvantages: Rooms on the basic side but perfectly adequate

This is a 3 star hotel located in St Lawrence Gap. I had an ocean view room on the 2nd floor near the small pool. I really couldn't fault the hotel at all. The view from our room was perfect - palm trees, white sand and the Caribbean sea. We did not opt for the suite with a separate kitchen however we still had a sink, fridge and a kettle, which was adequate for us - we were room only and knowing the cost of food in Barbados decided to save a few $'s onbreakfast - we took 2 plastic plates and some plastic cutlery with us and went to the local shop and bought some bread, cheese, ham and nutella which was perfect for a breakfast on the balcony and was a
lovely start to the day.

We spent most of our time round the small pool which was very quiet,
sometimes we were the only one's there - I prefer not to sit on the
beach as I have very fair skin and although the breeze was lovely it's
deceiving as to how much you are getting burnt at the same time! Also
there were umbrella's by the pool, which were very useful! We would sit
by the pool and go in the sea every so often, washing off all the sand
with the shower just inside the hotel grounds, then reapplying sun
cream! This was perfect for us.

We took advantage of the free mini golf in the hotel, this is a lovely
little course and again was very quiet. We also borrowed boogie boards
which was lots of fun, you do get chucked around a lot in the waves
though if you're not very good! (I'm not!) We were lucky enough to see
turtles swimming close to the shore as well, which was amazing to see.

We ate lunch at the hotel most days, we found this a little pricey but
loved the setting next to the beach with a view of the sea. It was about
BDS$75 for a burger and chips, turkey panini and chips and a couple of
drinks - it all depends what you're used to spending really! The food
and service was excellent though! Towards the end of our stay the
waitress would walk up to us knowing exactly what we wanted - we are
creatures of habit!

The rooms were cleaned every day and were spotless, towels also changed
when you wanted, the rooms were comfortable and everything we wanted,
they're not luxury but we were nicely decorated and clean, the air con
was brilliant too!

Overall, I would recommend this hotel and will hopefully return one
day, it is in an excellent location close to bars and restaurants but
not too close that you are disturbed.

Barbados is a lovely island, with lovely friendly people and hope to return one day! If you go say Hello to Koko the parrot!

Summary: Would not hesitate to return to this fantastic caribbean island and hotel
