I have been to Disneyland in California literally dozens of times as I used to live in Southern California. Now, the best way to experience Disneyland is to get there right when it opens and not to leave until it closes. In order to save myself a really early drive or a long drive back after hours I often stayed at a motel near the park as I lived about 50 miles away. Obviously if you want to have the whole Disneyland experience I would recommend one of the Disneyland hotels with Mickey, Minnie and all the gang but if you are just looking for a pillow for the night to lay your head then look no further that Super 8 motel.
A Super 8 Motel is sort of one step down from a Motel 6 in the US, very cheap budget hotels with not too many frills but ones that I always clean and comfy enough for a night or two. In terms of location this is the best motel you could book to be near the park. The Super 8 Motel Anaheim is located at:
915 S. Disneyland Drive
Anaheim, CA 92802-1842 US

Considering that Disneyland Drive is the road you take off the freeway to get to Disneyland then you really can't get better than this motel. There is plenty of parking and you can keep your car there while you visit the park if you wish as you do have to pay for parking at Disneyland which is about $8 for the day now.
The last time I stayed there, 2009, the room cost me $60 which is about £30, an absolute bargain in my opinion as you will be spending a fortune once you are in the park itself. The room was well equipped with a Queen size double bed and ok pillows and bedding. We only had one pillow each and I tend to like two but oh well, never mind. The room was fairly small but what do you expect for $60 and there was no shower gel or mini bar etc either but none of that bothered me as I knew what I was in for when I was booking it and did not need any of these items for a one night stay. The hotel does have a swimming pool and a jacuzzi but I cannot comment on these as we never really had time to use them or go and see them.
Before going to the park we did take advantage of the Continental breakfast which consisted of a buffet help yourself to cereal, pastries, juices and coffee. It was nice enough and good to get a bit of food in us before we entered the park. Getting to the park from these hotel was extremely easy as you only had to walk. It was about a 10 minute walk to the Mickey and Friends car park which is where you can get one of the free Disneyland trams that take you right up to the park entrance.
All in all for a place to lay your head for the night in close proximity to Disneyland and very cheap look no further than Super 8.
