We were speechless, tired and quite annoyed and after an exasperating & futile hour of discussion and attempting ... more  ... to switch to another hotel which were unfortunately full we had no option but to stay in another type of room which was smaller and without the facilities we had booked, next to a restaurant and quite noisy in the evening.
We informed the management that we would not pay for this room until we were given the room we had booked.

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM PARADISE. TANJUNG RHU TO BE EXACT. WE LIVE IN BRUNEI AND WERE RECOMMENDED THIS RESORT BY FRIENDS. IT WAS TRULY WONDERFUL TO SAY THE LEAST, AND AWONDERFUL START FOR OUR 30TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS. WE STAYED FOR 2 GLORIOUS WEEKS. DINING AT SAFFRONS WAS SO ROMANTIC. AND RHU RESTAURANT WAS A GOURMET DELIGHT, WITH OUR THANKS TO NICHOLAS AND HIS STAFF. WE STAYED IN BAYU SENJA SUITE FACING THE SEA. IT WAS SUCH A DELIGHT TO GO BACK AFTER A HARD DAY AT THE BEACH!!!! ROOM SERVICE WAS VERY EFFICIENT. THE STAFF SO FRIENDLY AND COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR YOU. WE WILL CERTAINLY RETURN TO THIS WONDERFUL OASIS.

We arrived in Tangjung Rhu with our two young children after 12 hours of travel late in the evening(9pm) to be informed that we could not have the Anjung seaview room we had specifically requested,booked and paid a deposit on because the guests who were currently staying in the room had decided to extend their holiday and the resident manager granted their request at our expense.
