***The Background*** On our honeymoon tour of the States we decided to only book rooms in the places where we were going to be spending more than one night and just wing it the rest of the way. Las Vegas was definitely going to be a two night stay so we started to have a look at brochures and online to have a look and see what was on offer. We wanted something luxurious but couldn't quite afford the Bellagio so decided on the Mirage instead. There were a few reasons for choosing this hotel. It looked quite lovely from the pictures we had seen and although it was pricey, it wasn't out of our league. It is also the home of Siegfried and Roy's white lions ... Read the complete review

We stayed at the Mirage over Thanks Giving weekend as the Venetian was full. I found it truely claustrophobic and couldnt wait to get out of it. It is situated smack bang in the centre of the strip and is great for exploring the neighbouring casinos. Check in was a breeze and they were extremely helpful and welcoming. Behind the check in desk there is a massive aquarium of tropical fish. It looked absolutely stunning. There is also a massive atrium with tropical plants and orchids which is very picturesque. We were given our room key and headed off to the lifts to the rooms.Unfortunately you have to meander your way right through the casino towards ... Read the complete review

Designed by Steve Wynn (my hero) along with Treasure Island and Bellaggio this is a most amazing Hotel & Resort. Fronted by cascading waterfalls and a Volcano which erupts very frequently each night , but this is just the beginning. Step in side and you are confronted by a tropical rainforest under a huge glass dome. Walk to the check in area and this is backed by a massive aquarium that keeps you fascinated whilst waiting for your rooms. The rooms are superbly decorated in a wide range of pastel colours and styles , out of the back of the Hotel are a few Lanai bungalows for the chosen ones. Money can't buy these , you are invited to stay ... Read the complete review

This was probably my favourite hotel in Vegas. It is a nice managable size when compared to some of the other big hotels. It is also feels very luxurious and has som every nice touches around the grounds. The is a tropical garden in the casino, and the mini zoo with dolphins and tigers is very nice too. At the front of the hotel is a volcano which has an hourly show in the evening. The hotel is also host to the Cirque du Soleil production Love, and there is a lounge bar called Revolution which is named after it. The whole hotel was very nicely decked out. Our room had a lavish, yet retro feel to it. We did the $20 tip trick and got a nice room ... Read the complete review
