n March of 2010 my family and I went to Vegas. The fact that the Palms Hotel and Casino invited us to come and spend 3 nights and 4 days free of charge with them made it a very easy choice as to where we would be staying.
We made our reservations with a stipulation that we would not be arriving till late at night or even early the next morning but we would be there. We called them to let them know we were on our way and we were informed that it would not be a problem for us to drive safely and just arrive in one piece.
Around 3:30 in the morning we arrived. We dragged our tired self's through the casino which was not far from the parking garage. We walked right up to the check in counter and were greeted by name. Mind you we have never stayed at this casino. We had only been there a few times to eat and to gamble a little bit. These people had no idea who we were from the next joe in line.
We were informed that they were having a problem with their computers, and that check in may take a few minutes longer. Not a problem we were tired but we were excited to be there. So it was all good as we had to fill out old school hotel registration cards. We completed check in and was informed that we would be receiving a complimentary upgrade to a suite in the Fantasy Tower. Having stayed at many hotels in Vegas we were not expecting alot with their suite. We thanked them and made our way across the casino to the bank of elevators for the Fantasy Towers.
As we walked up to the Elevators I noticed that there were two halls one taking you to the elevators to the rooms and another taking you to the elevator to the Playboy Bunny Club. I thought that was cool we are gonna be in the same tower as the world famous club. We continued down our hallway to our elevators and were greeted by a security guard that asked to see our room keys to verify that we were in fact guests and supposed to be there. After showing our key we hopped onto the first elevator and went up to our room.
We walked down the hallway to our room all the way at the end of the hall the last room. We opened our door and were blown away by what we saw. We walked in turned on the lights and realized that not only did we have one room but in fact we had 3 rooms and all of there were huge.
The first room that you walked into was a sitting room it had a very posh leather/suede couch with a nice matching chair. There was a huge tv mounted to the wall that had a DVD player so you could watch movies as well. Over in the corner was a wet bar with a mini fridge stocked to the hilt with every thing you could imagine.
The second room was the bed room with a huge bed with down comforters on it. I was so in love with that bed and to be honest some days it was very hard to get out of it. This room had a closing and locking door very nice for privacy. There was a smaller tv on a tv stand in this room. As we walked around in this room I realized that omg there was hardly any walls it was mostly windows offering a virtually panoramic view of Vegas.
As I walked through that room to the bath room it took my breath away. The window scheme continued on into the bath room with curtains that could be lowered and raised for unobstructed views. There was a small hot tub for a bath tub basically. The tub was huge and there was so much room not to mention the jets. I spent quite a bit of time in that tub just enjoying the jets and relaxing. There was a tv in the bath room that you could watch as you relaxed in the tub.
As I remember my visit there I am taken back to the feeling of such relaxation that I could not wait to get back. The Palms has once again invited me to stay with them for free so I will be spending the Fourth of July at the Palms.
