Advantages: Comfy, Clean & Disney. Plus, free drinks for the duration if you buy a mug.

Disadvantages: A little basic. You have to use the buses to get anywhere.

If you want to do all the Disney theme parks in Florida, but don't want to drive, the best way to do it is in a Disney Hotel.

I stayed in the Hotel in March 2007. I recommend this time of year in general to English people as the weather is both warm but not unbearable & as long as you avoid Easter, the parks can be a little quieter. Plus for you sports fans (like me) you can see Major League Baseball at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

The Hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of Walt Disney World resort. You can't walk from the Hotel to anywhere because pavements aren't always around. The hotel is serviced by the free buses which travel all around the resort. Anyone staying on the Hotel (or on Disney property) can use these for free. There are direct buses to the four main parks, plus Downtown Disney & also a bus that will take you to either water park. The buses are both comfortable & frequent, although they do get very full at park opening & closing times (for obvious reasons).

The Hotel's lobby is decorated with 20th century items on the walls & in display cases. This leads into the Shop & Food Court. The shop is good & stocks lots of thing from around Disney plus a few Hotel Specific items you won't find anywhere else. The Food court offers standard American fare. Burgers, Hotdogs, Pizza. All reasonably priced considering where you are staying. It is open all day & serves Breackfast, Lunch, & Dinner. The best thing about the food court is that for $12 you could buy a refillable mug which you could use for the entire duration of your stay (we were there 2 weeks). You can fill it with any of the hot or cold drinks & the selection is massive!

The Hotel is themed on the 20th Century, with areas dedicated & decorated with iconic items from the decade they are representing. We were in the 70's which had a Micky phone, table soccer & 8 tracks. Other decorations for different decades include Baloo in the 60's & a Rubick's cube in the 80's.

The rooms are basic, but this is part of Disney's budget hotel options. They have two double beds. An En-suite with Bath & Shower all in one, Toilet & Wash Basin. There is a safety deposit box inside the room which is large but not very deep. The room had a picture on the wall with a mural representing news from the 1970's with a Disney theme. There is also a colour television with quite a few channels. Not that you'll be watching it much.

There are two pools for the guests to use. I never used either as we were always too busy, but they never looked busy. The hotel has a lake in the middle but at the back the complex has lots of unfinished rooms which were going to be the first half of the century. Don't worry though, it doesn't look like a building site.

All in all the Hotel was good value for money. The food was filling & tasted good. The beds were comfy, rooms clean & the Shower hot. I would definetly stay here again & would recommend it to anyone. If you are going to Florida & want to focus on Disney, you should definetly consider staying here.

Summary: Good Value. A great hotel for a Disney holiday in Florida

The refillable mug was really good. You had a choice of Hot & Cold Drinks.
Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate,
Coke, Fanta, Dr Pepper, Slush.
All of them for Free as often as you like for the $12.00. It was really good. I'm sure the other Disney Budget Hotels had them too 'cause I saw people with Mugs with other Hotel's logos on. They never got stopped though.

That refillable mug does sound like good value - quite a shock for Disney, to be honest.
