Westin Hotels have a reputation for quality and this hotel is the case in point. My girlfriend and I stayed here bout 3 years ago over the Xmas and New Year period. The first thing that strikes you is the impressive architecture in the main lobby. It used to be a post office head quarters and still parts of the building are used by businesses. The glass roof is breathtaking.
Service (as you would expect) was first class and the room was huge. We were on about the 25th floor overlooking the huge clock tower and stunning views of Sydney.
We had included breakfast in the deal which was just as well as normally it was something like £22 (be warned!) but it is the best array of breakfasts I have ever seen. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as we wanted to sample what Sydney had to offer.
I recommend using the adults only swimming pool. It's a bit of a trek to get to (within the hotel) but a great little oasis that no-one seems to use.
It's location is perfect, we did a lot of sight seeing (although 2 weeks was far too long in one city) and found that we walked about 90% of the time, the Sky Walk on the sky tower is a particular favourite (much better than the Harbour Bridge). It is a 15 minute walk down to the Opera House etc and ideally situated for those shoppers among you! (my gf took a particularly shining to the Lindt shop over the road.
There is also a cracking pub a few doors down for those like me who don't like expensive hotel bars!

Summary: Worth the money!
