Advantages: great place

Disadvantages: too quitefor me

The windsor arms hotel is situated on st thomas street toronto.

It is a old style 4 storey building that has a beautiful elegant look to it on the out side and a fantastic inside.

This hotel has 26 suites so is quite a large establishment with a lot of helpful staff and a lot of space. It has a fitness center, swimming pool, spa and barbers shop all inside the hotel.

There is a choice of places to eat inside the hotel aswell as options of eating out localy, you can eat at the hotel in the court yard cafe, club 22 bar, the resturant or tea rooms.

The bedrooma are available in different sizes, our room had a king sized bed with white crisp linen that matched the theme of the hotel beautifully, it had mahogony old style furniture and had sliding doors to seperate the bedroom area from the living room area that has a settee, table and chairs and desk.

The swimming pool is beautiful, well lit and a tear drop shape with steps gradually lowering you into the heated water.

The diningroom is beautiful, the colous in there are blue, gold and cream which looks fantastic in the style of the building, there are 2, 4 ,6 ,8 seat tables and you choose a table for the amount of people so are never sat with anyone you dont know. They have white linen table cloths, silver cutlery and crystal glasses, there is a floral center piece in the middle of the table and the food is beautiful.

The bar has a very surgical and modern look to it that doesnt realy fit with the rest of the style of the building, it is all silver and purple, it has comfy leather chairs in and bar stools, there is a vast array of drinks, spirits and bottled beers but nothing on tap.

The out side of the building looks even more beautiful at night when it is all lit up.

The staff here are fantastic, they have butlers to fetch and carry for you who are all always happy to help, there cleaners clean your room every day and give fresh bedding and towels every day, you have the choice of smoking or non smoking rooms.

This place is by no means cheap and wouldnt be a place i would stay again although it was very special for my honeymoon

The room we had was a delux which is 700sq foot and cost £425 per night.

This is not the sort of place you could take children as they would get very board very easily here and i would be paranoid about them braking something but this would be an ideal place for a couple, especially elder people to have a peaceful quite holiday in luxury.

Summary: a nice retreat for the more mature
