Cranage Hall (Cheshire) ... week, my husband and I celebrated Christmas with his work colleagues at Cranage Hall which is in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. As this was some distance from home, we treated ourselves to a night away in the hotel without the kids, making a good night even better! Cranage Hall is part of the Principal Hayley group of conference venues and hotels but for us it was the setting of our Christmas do and a well-deserved night away. Holiday Inn Gatwick Airport ... and my husband have recently come back from a trip to Venice. Although we live right by Manchester airport we found we would need to be flying from London and so ended up staying the night before in the Holiday inn Gatwick. This is my opinion on the hotel as I was quite pleased with the place and thought it would be worth recommending to others who may need an airport hotel at Gatwick. Booking: I booked my room over the phone - I had no choice to do it this way because I receive discounted rates that are only book able over the phone.
