We stayed in the Aghadoe Heights in May It was a special treat for my husband's Birthday (and I like including myself in his treats!) It probably is not very impressive as you drive up to the Hotel, but once inside it certainly does look 5***** and you certainly know it by the way the Staff treat you. extremly courteist and polite without been overly "in your face" We booked a Suite...which is really expensive..but like I said it was for my Husbands Birtday and it been his 50th I wanted it to be really special. Well the suite was huge with a kitchen living room large Bedroom and Bathroom with Bath and shower and two sinks...no need to fight over the hand basins. We had a balcony that looks over towards the Lakes and Mountains. You can get rooms with Balconies at an extra cost At the time we went they were about £250pps which included 3 BB& 2 Dinners Now I know you probably could get an apartment in spain for a week with that price, but you certainly wouldnt't get the luxury. The food on both evenings was superb and plenty of it..Not like some of these "posh" Restaurants that give minute portions These were really big. and there was 5 courses each evening They had a pianist playing as we were eating and this was rather nice and relaxing. To get a bit more excitement you have to go into one of the pubs in Killarney "Danny Manns" was a good pub that has plenty of craic, and good music. At the moment the rates in the hotel are fairly good at £150pps 2 BB& 1 Dinner. So if you are thinking of treating yourselves contact the Hotel or Irish-Break-Finders and have a dream of a time!!
