An absolutely beautiful hotel informed that it has just undergone a refurbishment, one of the most relaxing places i have ever had the pleasure of staying i will be reccommending it to all of my friends and family, the ultimate retreat the food is quite simply amazing all made from local produce. The hotel oozes luxury you even get molton brown toiletries in the bathrooms, will be back again very soon, loved it

My wife and I had a marvelous stay at the Amerdale House Hotel from March 30 to April 3, 2004. Arncliffe in the Littondale valley is as picturesque a English village as we have ever seen. It is a wonderful base for day walks, whether along the valley floor, where the countryside is lovely, or up over the moors, where the scenery is spectacular. Lambing season was in progress and we delighted in watching the baby lambs cavort in the pastures. The Amerdale House itself is a beautiful old manor house, very nicely decorated and maintained. Amerdale country house hotel is a delightful 'hidden gem' the idyllic setting in the Yorkshire Dales make this family hotel more of a retreat and restoration than a any mere place to rest your head at the end of a days walking! The Victorian manse hotel is situated in Arncliffe, a quiet and picturesque village. gentle walks near the river Skirface, or beside the ancient Church are a pleasant means of spending a few hours before returning to the warm welcome at Amerdale House.
