Bear of Rodborough (Gloucestershire) ... the historic south-west corner of the Cotswolds, high above Stroud on the wilds of Rodborough Common, stands the handsome Bear of Rodborough Hotel. On 6th March this year I found myself a guest at the Bear of Rodborough (henceforth "The Bear"), a hotel somewhat different to the chains of faceless budget establishments I usually find myself in when staying away from home. By "different" I really mean "far nicer and vastly more expensive", but as it was for my wedding, I felt it was justifiable to stay in a luxury country house hotel less than an hour's drive from my home.
